Great West Peckham
egg toss

Don’t be shy it’s just a game of catch, if you are worried about your partner not throwing correctly, we have bin bags for you to wear to save your cloths.

How it works

Stand face to face throw the egg your partner catches it you both take a step back and throw the egg again. If you drop the egg, you are out. The last pair standing wins.

Traction Engine

We are so lucky to have a steam enthusiast living so close to our village, Duncan and his team love to bring along one of their collection, to the Fête each year. This Beautifully crafted piece of machinery is an Aveling and Porter Road Roller and was built at their works in Strood in 1930.

Dog Show

What can I say about the Dog show- this is probably one of the most popular events the team put on during the afternoon, the Dog show is run by Cathy Wright, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in showing and judging dogs.

You can enter by filling out the form in the dog show drop down menu at the top of this page and bringing it along to the fete. Or by filling a form out 1 hour before judging takes place on the day but be quick this event is very popular.

Morris Dancing

We have the Wantsum Morris side performing for us this year, they will be preforming throughout the afternoon in the main arena, see drop down for more information on Morris sides.

Music Tent

Our entertainment tent runs all afternoon, and we have a brilliant number of performers. From Band on the Run a brass band who are going to open the fête this year folled by the fabulous Springer Sisters, through to our headline act Sevenukes so please come along and see them perform from Noon on Fête day.

tug of war

By far the most popular event we run all day, from the teams who come from neighbouring Villages and pubs to crowd participation. See drop down menu for more information.

Brians Tractor

Lovingly restored, Brian’s Massey Ferguson tractor is one of the hidden gems of the West Peckham Fête.

It might look like it’s quietly sitting there, but don’t be fooled — both kids and adults flock to it for photos, a chance to sit behind the wheel, and a moment of classic countryside charm.

Come see why this vintage beauty is one of the most-loved attractions of the day!
